01 / THE WAY I WORK

Design.
Code.
Quality.

Séverine Baudrand

8+ years bringing design intentions into real interfaces.

My core focus is Design Systems and UI Engineering: translating design intentions into reusable components, consistent interfaces and precise responsive layouts with HTML and CSS. Sustainable web design and development are a foundation of my practice, alongside accessibility and visual quality. I have also acted as an accessibility referent, particularly at Guerlain.

Green UX & sustainable web development

I bring an ecodesign mindset to the bridge between design and code: focus on what people need, question unnecessary interface complexity, and favour lightweight, reusable components. My aim is to reduce unnecessary resource use while preserving a thoughtful, accessible experience. Performance supports this approach; sustainability also shapes what we choose to build and maintain.

I work closely with designers, developers and product teams: clarifying implementation, documenting decisions and helping QA teams review front-end work in the browser.

Alongside development, I have organised Jira backlogs, written tickets and acceptance criteria, planned work into sprints and coordinated accessibility corrections.

A bridge between Design and Engineering.

Integrated into the Design team, I translated design requirements into technical implementation on the global SFCC e-commerce platform.

  • Created Technical Solution Designs (TSDs) and co-wrote major front-end development tickets with the junior Product Owner.
  • Developed Page Designer features and supported reusable, accessible components.
  • Reviewed responsive behaviour, semantic HTML, implementation quality and performance.

Focus: design-to-code, clear specifications and consistent UI.

GUERLAIN
& LVMH BEAUTY TECH

Front-End leadership
Accessibility referent

Responsive delivery, with accessibility throughout.

At Guerlain, I managed and developed a responsive release over six months, alongside other releases. Accessibility was a central part of my front-end work.

  • Organised Jira tickets, descriptions, acceptance criteria and sprint allocation.
  • Guided Design and Engineering on WCAG requirements and accessible implementation.
  • Supported responsive consistency, design systems, performance, documentation and mentoring.

Focus: hands-on delivery and coordination grounded in technical understanding.

03

ACCESSIBILITY
IN PRACTICE

From audit findings
to development tickets

Making large correction backlogs actionable.

I handled extensive lists of findings from Level Access: communicating with their team, analysing and classifying issues, and bringing them into Jira.

  • Prioritised corrections across sprints.
  • Assigned tasks according to developers’ technical strengths.
  • Helped QA colleagues review front-end tickets and content contribution in browsers.

Focus: accessibility remediation and visual quality, supported by front-end expertise.
